Angel's Face In Centerfold

For Heaven's sake, is it absolutely necessary for people to make "sex tapes"? Ex-Miss California Admits To Making Sex Tape
Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean calls a sex tape she made for an ex-boyfriend several years ago "the biggest mistake of my life."

Prejean told Fox News Monday and NBC's "Today" show Tuesday she shot the X-rated video of herself alone when she was 17 and sent it to a boyfriend.

The 22-year-old tells NBC: "It was for private use, but does that justify what I did? No. It was the biggest mistake of my life."

The only thing worse than "right wing Christian" making a sex tape (but she's alone in the tape! what kind of sex tape is that??) is the chortling from the Hypocrisy Police who manage to simultaneously act like leering nihilists (see! everybody's doing it!) on the one hand, and prissy judgmental pricks on the other. If that's supposed to make the moral case for gay marriage, you can call me unconvinced.

UPDATE: TMZ is "all over" this story, so to speak. Can't seem to find the "sex tape" on their website, but they are certainly taking the editorial position that Miss CA is loudmouth hypocrite who should go away yesterday. Frankly, I think TMZ - in its campaign to destroy Miss CA and protect gay marriage - is dumbing down the concept of the celebrity sex tape. From what I read, the tape is little more than a topless love letter that the high school age Miss Ca sent to her scummy boyfriend, who later sold it to TMZ for big $$, no doubt so he could make repairs to his Harley. High school girls making fools of themselves over worthless guys? Stop the presses!

TMZ's confusion about whether this is a sex tape or not arises from its ignorance about Christian sexuality. Obviously, TMZ and its ilk think Christians shouldn't have any sex if they want to live up to their religious obligations. This is hardly what it means to be Christian. There's plenty of hot Christian sex happening out there. Where does TMZ think all those little Christian babies come from? What Christians object to, and preach against, is cheesy one night stand sex with its cynical values, STD's, abortions, and blowzy Sex and the City actresses. This may be a subtlety that eludes the Hypocrisy Police.

Then again, you never hear them complain about cafeteria Catholics like Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, and the Kennedys who pursue political policies that are in direct contravention to Catholic teaching (not that I want to see a Pelosi sex tape!). Once again, we are stuck with a media double standard that attacks anyone who fails to toe the line on progressive values and practices a willful silence in favor of those who can read the proper talking points. Miss CA should probably be embarrassed by the her exposure of her rampaging high school id, but she shouldn't be ashamed.
