Robot Samurai


We often joke about "Our Robot Overlords," but the Japanese are actually developing robot versions of famous Japanese warlords. First out of the gate is Robot
Oda Nobunaga: Warlord Robot Has All The Right Moves
Marking the city's 400th anniversary, a robot maker displayed an armor-clad robot resembling Oda Nobunaga (1534-1582), one of the region's most powerful and famous warlords.

The robotic Oda was unveiled Sunday, putting on a five-minute performance at an event in Nagoya's Naka Ward.

Robotic versions of Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543-1616) and Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537-1598) are also in the works. Robobase expects to complete the famous triumvirate of warlords by April.
Robot Oda Nobunga is not quite ready for world domination, as he is only 30 cm. high, and can only perform Noh dance.
